Another Multi anfibio

Post by Bibelot » Fri May 10, 2019 9:33 am

I got permission to hunt a farm, the house was built in 1850,I was really excited about the possibilities to be found and came away slightly disappointed in the first hunt. The ground was very mineralized, GB was 74-79 where normally I'm around 51-56.Needless to say I had a concentric coil on, will be going back with double D coils and a wider arsenal of machines to go over the area.I feel it was hunted hard, only found two coins, a 1967 dime and a 1944 S mint wheat back penny which is one of my favorite pennies as they were made from recycled artillery shells from the war. I found a buckle, pocket knife, deer slug, and other bits of trash by hunting in beach mode and lower than normal gain setting.

regarding ground balance numbers you might find that the ground balances differently acording to what freq you select .
im guessing 5khz the ground will give lower numbers than 20khz . no longer have nokta/makro to check but do know the nox balances higher in some of its higher freq weighted modes .

I like this bit of info:
wheat back penny which is one of my favorite pennies as they were made from recycled artillery shells from the war.

That is what history is all about and this kind of thing has happened before. For example 17th century England.

Also happened here in France around the same time...I have coins that were made from naval cannons at La Rochelle.

I went back today.A picture of the permissions, first dig was a silver dime but I got rained off again. It is really clean of items in the ground for its age, I suspect it has been hunted before.

Yes,I like to hunt in 20 Khz for all of the nails and EMI , it runs a little quieter but I did run in 5 khz and 14 today. The ground mineralization is 3 bars on the mineral graph. Rarely do I see one bar for any amount of time.
