Lovely piece of flint. Wonder if it’s a Flint-Lock striker ? But don’t know how big they are.
Oxgirl136 posted one not so long ago. If she sees your post, she may be able to confirm.

A pic with measurements of the item would be a good help. Your thumb isn’t really much help :D

It could just be a prized possession of a Neolithic lady who also thought it was pretty. Very nice ‘eyes only’ find. Just proves you gotta keep them peepers open ::g

Wrong shape for a flintlock striker viewtopic.php?t=106479

Looks like potentially a fossilised something though. Need more pics of both sides (with scale) ::g

Hi, Thanks for your replies ,I took about 10 photos but had trouble loading them onto the post, then I discovered the instructions on the menu on the left but by that time it was getting too late. I don’t have the time to post the other photos at the moment but I will do this evening,I took the other photos with a ruler so it gives the dimensions,it is a curious little thing,it looks like it was attached to something on the back side of it. I did read the site etiquette regarding posting photos,so I apologise for this poor effort but I just ran out of steam lol,but thank you very much for your interest and comments 👍

Hi oxgirl, thanks for your help ,the back of this piece has been worked to attach to something or other and appears to be broken so it may have been longer, I hope these new photos are acceptable, cheers
