hi, found this sorry about photo's haven't got access of item for a while so did a (drawing) found with Deus, stubble, 8'' down, gold max power, it is bronze, the sides are shield shaped, hole in middle, anyone any idea's

An interesting item ... the patina doesnt suggest alot of age ... and the hole is confusing .. thinking that it maybe a clasp of some description..???

the patina is ruined by me, (l know) thought along the lines of a musket rest, but couldn't find anything.
