Trio of romans just up?

Post by Geordie » Mon Nov 11, 2019 3:19 pm

Quite a productive little trip out this afternoon in the biting cold winds of Northumberland x;

Very soggy stubble field over clay but in amongst the usual scrap out popped three little coins (separately but same field). VDI if I remember rightly was in the 10-12 range on the equinox 800, perhaps a little higher but the cold wind was affecting me a bit too much to be absolutely certain. Field 1, 50 tones all metal mode.

Any thoughts on ID would be greatly appreciated- although I know the third coin is a little on the worn side so may struggle to pin that one down.

Cheers,

Dan

Thanks Allectus - my next question was going to be how best to get a little more detail out of them! I've just purchased some small crocodile clips with the intention of trying a bit of electrolysis on some other items, so I take it that will be safe to use on these too?

I'll see if I can set something up and will report back many thanks again! ::g
