i hope this may help someone before choosing the above detector. i have had a few detectors over the years, and recently thought it was time to get a new one. i didn't want a really expensive one, so started researching the lower end to medium priced detectors. it was between the Garrett euro ace, the Garrett ace 250, or the bounty hunter quick-draw 2. i chose the bounty hunter in the end. the display is fine, easy to use and set up. the depth is amazing, i expect the expensive detectors are as deep or maybe more, but no kidding the depth on a £1 coin is 10.5 inches, full sensitivity all metal mode. so im really pleased with my choice. there is just one annoying thing that makes me think i should have chosen the ace 250. The pinpointing is hopeless, why i hear you ask, because it hasn't got one. eg the head picks up a coin at the front of head, and wont stop until the back of the head passes the coin. ok i now know this, and will have to get used to it. but i would have preferred a dedicated pinpoint. never mind though, as i said before, the depth is incredible. hope this helps when choosing similar detectors.

Does the tone not alter as it passes across the target, if you use headphones you may hear a subtle change in tone then try the same at 90 degrees it may narrow down the area of target. I have used this method with a cheap detector and it works mind you it only has a 5ins coil .

that's another issue, the tone does change which is annoying. you may get a high tone then a low tone with two sweeps across the same coin. i have found if you press the notch button, it takes out the first icon on scale, which seems to take out iron, so most signals high or low tone are a good target. as i said previous, im sure detectors are all slightly different, and i will be able to get used to it. i have just picked up the maplins pin pointer, and done the mod found on this forum. im not dissing the quickdraw, the display panel is very accurate on the depth scale, and the depth of detection is amazing. just got to get used to pinpointing, as i dont want to be digging huge holes. i have been practising in lounge, not on the floor by the way, and found that the front of coil picks up target soon as you pass over it, so this can be my pinpoint. phew!
