Received the 800 last night , drove down to Lincoln to pick it up .
As luck would have at, the bloke was a farm manager and I secured 2k acres less than a mile from Lincoln cathedral ::g
Great bloke, met his family etc.. had a chat about detecting and asked why he was selling the 800,
He was saying he’s just too busy and never seems to get the time .
Ended up getting the 800, 3 months old , and his spade, finds pouch and a box of his finds for for my grandson all for £700.
Great day all in all

i think its just too clumsy and bulky and my mate says the same as he sold his the next day ,,if you have used the light deus its hard to get used to it..it needs repackaging to make it feather light like the deus..doubt a lighter stem will work imo

I’ve used many straight shafts in the past, so hopefully I should be ok.
But I will be looking into a ‘s’ shaft .
A few on the American forums have done it , not straight forward , but it is possible .

Just the mini draper spade, pouch and finds were for the grandson, not the 800 ::g

Well,.....

I’ve just put it together for the first time, and I must say build quality is terrible...
All I can put that down to is for keeping the price of the machine under the £1k bracket , fair enough good business.
But I guess it’s down to the individual if they want to bin the 1990’s shaft and the ridiculously flimsy arm cup and upgrade ::g

But, it’s down to the electronics at the end of the day ::g
