Just joined after dusting off the old girl and gave it whirl on our back yard ( recently moved home ) and would you believe it me and my son found 3 old pennies,need to clean them off and see what dates they have yet.
Have a Garrets Ace 250 to start off with and the obligatory pinpointer!!
Also a member of NCMD UK!

Looks like there's allot of good advice on here so over the next few days ill try and catch up and have a good look through the finds that you guys have,1st 1 i looked at was the Stephen penny..WHAT A FIND ::g

Hi Manx, Greetings from Lancashire, Pendle to be exact, Nelson to be more so. Hoping to take up detecting again myself after a few years break due mainly to health problems - like body wearing out! Seems not a lot to be found in these parts but hope to do better on the Fylde with our newly-pitched caravan there as mentioned in my "Intro" placed tonight. Wishing you (and me) renewed luck out in those fields again. Cheers. Malcolm
