Hiya and welcome to the forums
Just to make you aware although i expect you already know that all land (including woodland) needs permission from the land owner before you can go metal detecting there
::g
I presume unless privately owned you may struggle to get permissions for woods etc, but hope to be proved wrong

You like woodland? I always look at it and my romantic side loves the idea that a load of knights and noblemen and women would have gone hunting, dropping their riches as they rode. Then i get bitten by midgies and frustrated by tree roots and loose interest. No patience I fear =))

Anyways welcome to the forum. Look forward to hearing about your adventures :D
