Hi All from Cullompton Devon

Post by Tazman » Mon Apr 08, 2019 11:48 pm

Name is Terry. Live in Cullompton. Just starting out with this. I am normally found in the woods around taking wildlife pictures and had a thought as to what could be under my feet.
Not got a detector yet but looking for the right one.
Any one else from around here.

Hi Terry, not too far away, here in Launceston, Cornwall.
Just started, myself - ended up, after many, many weeks of deliberation, busting the bank and going for the XP Deus.
Love it.
Light, accurate and fully programmable depending on circumstances and preference.

Sounds like you may well be looking towards woodland searching (On the assumption that you manage to get the permissions!) - some dont like the woodland searches due to the tangle factor and layers of old leaves, etc. I reckon that this means more virgin ground for the persistent detectorist.

Plenty of good advice and in-depth knowledge on these boards, and as yet, despite my efforts to prove my ignorance, I have never been accused of the "daft question" syndrome, so ask away if you need advice......

Good luck

Hello ,
I say go for it-the bird life when your detecting is everywhere.
