Newbie from Inverclyde

Post by Pepsikaz » Wed Jan 14, 2015 10:34 pm

Hi Everyone, thought I would say hello in the hope some will say hello back!

I am a complete novice just starting out - have purchased an Ace 250 and looking forward to hitting the local beach when the weather permits.

Working on permissions just now although not quite sure where or how to start. Just need to get the first one out of the way. Hoping to join a group for organised outings just in case there are no permissions! Would be glad to hear from anyone else in the Inverclyde area with any advice to offer.

This seems like a brilliant forum - having been lurking for a wee while and obtained some really great information. Thank you all!

Welcome to the forum. I'm new also and had my first stab at detecting on a beach over the holiday break. Quite an experience that got me hooked, I never thought digging up ring pulls would be so much fun! x; enjoy ::g

Hi there, I'm also in Inverclyde, Greenock to be exact, haven't been detecting that long and mainly just go to local beaches and a bit further down the coast to Ayr, I've got one permission up near Kilmalcolm but it's a hard place to get to and I recently damaged the underside of my car getting to it, costing me £300 to repair it, so I think I'll wait for better weather/harder ground before doing that again, send me a pm if you need a buddy to spend the day searching with you. ::g
